Our first encounter with Brian and Crystal was their wedding (although it seems like yesterday, it was over 5 years ago!). Hamilton Photography shot their amazing big day at the Belvedere Hotel in the historic community of Mt Vernon in downtown Baltimore. We were honored and excited for them when they called to say they were expecting their first child and wanted us to capture it. Here is one of my favorites from Crystal and Brian’s wedding day and a handful of my favorites from the recent session. Grace was beautiful and sweet. I hope to work with her again during her fist year…there are so many great milestones to capture!

One of the best things about doing family portrait sessions is the opportunity to shoot photos in unique places. It’s especially neat when the location has special meaning for the family, as it did for the Mee family photo shoot. We went to the construction site of their future home. It was the perfect place to capture this awesome family dynamic!

I really enjoyed working with 6 month old Nash. He was all smiles the entire photo session. My favorite time to photograph a baby is when they are sitting up but not crawling. You can really get some great moments! Nash and his parents came to us but we do offer professional photography services at your home as well. Nash’s mom, Denise, wants us to do photos of Nash and the dog in a few months. We are looking forward to that!

Here are some of my favorites from my latest newborn photography session. These are extra special to me because they are of my very precious niece & Goddaughter, Josephine Marie Trancucci. She was 2.5 weeks at the time and i was honored to be the one documenting her new life! I am in love with the green cocoon and plan on using it more often. I also decided to use an antique water basin that i bought in China years ago, it worked perfect! She looks comfortable and relaxed…just the way i envisioned it!

I love newborn photography! It is such a great time to capture your precious infant. Below are a few pictures from my latest newborn photo session with three-week-old twins. Mason, Reagan, and their mom, Amy, were great to work with. If you are interested in newborn photography, it is best to do it within the first three weeks before all the baby hormones kick in!

Hamilton Photography got their second opportunity to work with the creative kids salon, Pigtails and Crewcuts, in Annapolis a few weeks ago. We partnered with them to offer a haircut and holiday photo session all in one. Here are a few of our favorite pics from the day. If you have kids and need a haircut, head over to Pigtails and Crewcuts. The staff is great and the 3 women who own the shop make sure you have a great experience. They don’t just specialize in children, they cater to them. If you have kids and need a professional photo session, give Hamilton Studios a call!

So my first entry is somewhat personal. I did a photo shoot of my nephew, Joel. He is 7 months old and absolutely adorable. One of my favorite times to photograph children is when they can sit up but can’t crawl yet. You can make them laugh and smile all you want but they can’t crawl towards you so you get some great stuff. Of course, any age is great for photos but this is a great time if you want a portrait or something very specific. So here is one of my favorites.
